"Korea's First Male Model" Do Shin Woo Found Guilty of Sexual Molestation

Do Shin Woo (70), who is widely known as Korea’s first male model, has been found guilty of sexual molestation.

Do Shin Woo, who is currently the CEO of Model Center International, was charged a fine of three million won (around 2700 USD) and ordered to 24 hours of participation in a sexual violence treatment program by the Seoul Dongbu District Court.

According to the prosecution, Do Shin Woo called a female worker (22) into his hotel room while he was in Milano, Italy, and forced two kisses, one on each of her cheeks, claiming, “Let’s greet like the locals do.”

Do Shin Woo has been the CEO of Model Center International since 1984, and was a judge in the Asia Super Model Contest from 2006 to 2012.
