Super Junior's Choi Siwon to Be a Co-Producer of Webtoon-Based Film

Super Junior member Choi Siwon is turning into a producer.

Choi Siwon has joined hands with EnterMedia Pictures to purchase the rights to the 2011 Daum webtoon “Interview,” authored by Rude Vico (romanized from the Korean 루드비코).

EnterMedia Pictures (CEO Lee Dong Hoon) is the company that produced the US version of “Good Doctor” and “My Love from the Stars.” It is also the company that brought the rights to the US drama “Suits” and is currently preparing the Korean version.

“Interview” is about a fiction writer who is experiencing a slump and swears to never do interviews with anyone. However, he does permit one man, who unexpectedly knows about his unpublished project, “Hungarian Barber.”

It is said that Choi Siwon really wanted to see a movie produced from the webtoon, drawn to the unique format of the way there are three stories within the interview within the webtoon.

EnterMedia is currently looking for US writers and directors to work with Korean writers and directors.
