Kim Hyun Joong's Ex-Girlfriend Drops Charge Against His Lawyer

Yet another episode in the drama that is the ongoing conflict between singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend Ms. Choi.

The CEO of Sun&Partners, Attorney Sun Jong Moon, released an official statement to the media today, stating that Ms. Choi will be dropping the charges she filed against Kim Hyun Joong’s lawyer Lee Jae Man. 

In the statement, Sun Jong Moon summarized that Ms. Choi revealed the messages between herself and Kim Hyun Joong, as well as other evidence, to support her side of the story after Kim Hyun Joong’s lawyer came out to media to accuse her of lying about her pregnancy, miscarriage, and abuse. Along with this, Ms. Choi also filed charges of defamation against Kim Hyun Joong and Lee Jae Man. However, instead of the conflict being focused on revealing the truth between Ms. Choi and Kim Hyun Joong, unnecessary media play between the attorneys continued to grow. So Ms. Choi, Sun Jong Moon states, will just focus on her lawsuit with Kim Hyun Joong and drop the charges against Lee Jae Man. She will also avoid other outlying disputes, but will respond as necessary if Kim Hyun Joong’s side makes untrue claims.

Sun Jong Moon ends the statement with a wish to have the truth revealed in court and a plea for Kim Hyun Joong’s side to also avoid unnecessary interviews with the media.

Previously in this year, after Kim Hyun Joong was fined five million won by the court for injuring and harming his girlfriend through assault, Ms. Choi revealed she was pregnant and sued Kim Hyun Joong for 1.6 billion won in damages. Kim Hyun Joong later countersued for 1.2 billion won after Ms. Choi revealed to the media her previous pregnancy and miscarriage. Since then, there has been a lot of “he said, she said” through the media about the “truth” regarding the pregnancy, miscarriage, and abuse.
