Kim Jong Kook Meets Lee Kwang Soo’s Doppelganger on “Super Idol”
On the August 18 episode of MBC Music’s “Super Idol,” trainees had to go through an interim check mission.
The sixth episode of the audition program featured the trainees singing the ballad songs that they sang when getting admitted during the first round of auditions in May. This mission was selected in order to see how much the trainees have grown since then.
Composer Kim Hyung Seok, singer Kim Jong Kook, and singer The One participated as judges during the first round and were back for this mission. In addition, Chinese singer Shang Wenjie joined them this time.
In particular, after seeing a Chinese trainee get on the stage, one of the judges joked that a giraffe was getting on stage. Kim Jong Kook commented, “Since you mentioned a giraffe.. I’m reminded of Lee Kwang Soo.”
Kim Jong Kook and Lee Kwang Soo are known for being good friends and castmates on SBS’s “Running Man.”
Meanwhile, “Super Idol” can be watched on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. KST.
