Son Dambi Loses Lawsuit Against Cosmetic Brand

Singer Son Dambi has lost her compensation case against a cosmetic brand for which she was a model between 2010 and 2011.

Son Dambi was active as the model for the brand for approximately a year, between 2010 and 2011. On the contract, she specified that she only wanted her images to be used domestically.

However, in 2013, images of the singer were hung up in eight locations in China to see the brand’s products. Subsequently, she sued the cosmetic brand for breaching their previous contract and demanded compensation.

The brand denied the allegations of distributing the marketing material to the China stores, claiming that they only sold their products to these stores.

The court ruled in favor of the cosmetic brand, stating, “It is difficult to determine that the brand distributed these images in China. These images of Son Dambi have been widely distributed since she was a model for the company, easily accessible by internet.”
