Battle of the Maknaes: Finals

This is it. This is the end. Welcome back to the long-awaited final round of Soompi’s Battle of the Maknaes!

When we first started the tournament back in the beginning of September, we had no idea how the votes would turn. Three weeks and four rounds later, however, what ended up surprising us the most wasn’t the sheer number of fans voting for their favorites (two million), but rather how close each match-up was. Those voting in the semifinals round can probably relate – all of the polls ended with the gaps between the contestants at less than 10%. Fans voting for B.A.P’s ZELO and Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, however, truly experienced an uphill climb. Back and forth, the favor of the votes was fleetingly passed to and from each maknae, right up until the clock struck 8, when ZELO came up on top by edging past Kyuhyun with a whopping .08% advantage. This is one of the closest battles we’ve seen yet!

But the battle is almost over. Only 4 of the original 65 idols remain, and their fates are still to be determined. In the last round, each match-up included at least one member of a SM Entertainment idol group: f(x)’s Krystal, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Girls Generation’s Seohyun, and EXO’s Sehun. Ironically, they were all unfortunately eliminated from the finals, and will now face off each other in a race for third place!

This is where you come in. From now until September 26, 8 p.m. 10 p.m. KST, vote for your favorite maknae in the Finals of our “Battle of the Maknaes!” Pro-tip: You can vote once every hour, so be sure to get those votes in!
