What Are K-Pop Idols Doing This Chuseok Holiday?

September 27 marks Korea’s Chuseok holiday. The holiday can start as early as September 25 to September 29 or 30 depending on your occupation. Most Koreans visit their hometowns and families during this important holiday. How about K-pop idols? Keep reading to find out what some of your favorite K-Pop idols will be doing this Chuseok!

Work, Work, Work!

Girls’ Generation’s Sunny will be working on her radio show MBC FM4U’s “Sunny’s FM Date.” As for her labelmates, Super Juniors Kyuhyun, Siwon, and Yesung will be filming their separate dramas. SHINee will also be working as a group. The five-member boy group have a performance in Thailand on September 27. Minho and Onew will be filming for dramas as well. Jonghyun is preparing for his solo concert while Key has plans to practice for his musical.  Similarly, f(x)’s Luna has a performance for her musical “In the Heights.”

SISTAR’s Soyu will be promoting her duet song “Lean On Me” with 10cm’s Kwon Jung Yeol. AOA will be filming for various broadcasts while CNBLUE will be promoting their new song “Cinderella” and preparing for their concert. B1A4s Gongchan will be filming for his new web drama.

Rookie groups like April and UP10TION will be busy with promotions. The two groups will be able to meet their families for a short while before being occupied with broadcasts and fan meetings.

Family Time!

Juniel is planning on spending her Chuseok with her family. SISTAR’s Bora, Hyorin, and Dasom will also be with their families. Having been busy promoting “Rush,” MONSTA X will take some time off to see their families.

Likewise, Wonder Girls’s Hyerim and Sunmi will rest with their families as well as Baek A Yeonmiss A’Suzy and Min will also rest to re-charge.

B1A4 is also getting a well-deserved vacation to spend time with their families. All of the members are from outside of Seoul, so they will be traveling to their hometowns. Rookie girl group Oh My Girl will be getting their first break after debut to see their families.

Working Overseas!

FTISLAND will be holding their fifth anniversary tour in Japan on February 28 and 29. SHINee will hold a performance in Thailand (as mentioned above). Teen Top will be performing at a festival in Japan. BTS is on tour in the U.S. Despite being abroad, they will be able to greet domestic fans through their appearances on various Chuseok specials including the Idol Star Athlethics Championship.

KARA has been busy with concerts in various cities in Japan this September and will be spending the Chuseok holiday there.

miss A’s Fei will be visiting Hong Kong for work. T-Ara’s Eunjung and Hyomin will be promoting MBK Entertainment’s line of cosmetics in Brunei and will return to Korea on September 30.

Practice, Practice, Practice!

2PM will be spending their time preparing for their concert in October. Meanwhile, GOT7 will be getting ready for their comeback with new mini-album “MAD.”

Wonder Girls’ Yubin is planning on practicing for Mnet’s “Unpretty Rapstar 2.” N.Flying is also going to busy practicing. B1A4’s Sandeul will also be practicing for his musical “Cinderella” outside of the time he spends with his family. Rookie girl group DIA will forgo vacation in order to practice.
