Yang Hyun Suk Undergoing Police Investigation for Violating Building Code

YG Entertainment‘s Yang Hyun Suk is the subject of a police investigation, for having violated regulations while expanding his buildings. It is said that he expanded the YG Entertainment building without the proper authorizations, thus violating the municipal building code. He is undergoing a police investigation without detention.

This August, the Municipality of Mapo sued Yang Hyun Suk for having violated the building code on the YG Entertainment building, as well as on a bar in a building that he owns personally. He has previously said to the media that he demolished the building parts in question, but later investigations revealed that he has only demolished a part of the illegal expansion, leading many to suspect that he was only acting to stop further police investigations.

It is said that Yang Hyun Suk testified that as these are related to his company business, he does not know anything about it. However, some people are skeptical that he was telling the truth.
