Kim Ja Ok Foundation Established In Memoriam of the Late Actress

This coming November 16 marks one year since actress Kim Ja Ok has passed away. In her memory, the Kim Ja Ok Foundation (tentative name) will be established. This non-profit organization will be aided by the participation of celebrities who were close to the late actress.

Its first project, “A Princess is Happy,” will target women between the ages of 40 and 60 who wish to give back to the society, by helping them become mentors of struggling young students. Some of Kim Ja Ok’s friends are expected to participate.

Starting next year, the Kim Ja Ok Foundation plans to open a memorial for the actress, which will display her personal effects, as well as a theater that will be open to arts activities, including trot music, classics, and plays.

Furthermore, the Kim Ja Ok Foundation will give an award to a supporting actress in a live theater in Daehak-ro. The chosen actress will be given a supporting role in a TV drama.
