15 Celebrities and Their Favorite Perfumes and Colognes

Have you ever stared at a photo of your bias and thought to yourself, “I wonder if he smells as good as he looks”?

“Um, no,” you’re probably thinking. “That is so creepy. What even is wrong with you?”

*crickets*

Oh well! We’ve already compiled this list of favorite celebrity perfumes and colognes for you to peruse. Keep in mind that celebrities change their fragrances all the time (… they’re just like you!), and some of these may not be of the moment. We did try to stick to those scents that made the news in the past year or two, and exclude any for which the celebrities acted as spokesmodels.

We also included the description of the fragrance, because it’s funny how well they seem to describe not only the scent but the celebrity as well! (Not always, though.)

Let’s begin!

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon: Davidoff Cool Water

taeyeon-cool-water
“The quintessential ocean fragrance, for men who forge their masculinity on the waves of action. Embrace the power of the ocean.”

(Note: There’s a women’s version of this cologne called Cool Water Woman, but we think Taeyeon wears the men’s version, since it’s more famous, and she’s expressed a preference for men’s colognes.)

Cheetah: Jimmy Choo

“Inspired by modern women – strong, empowered, beautiful, seductive and alluring with a hidden and mysterious sense of confident sexuality. Glamorous in attitude, confident, intelligent and with a sense of fashion and fun, the fragrance is a modern fruity chypre with warm, rich, woody depths.”

BTS’s Suga: Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay

“Vibrant and verdant. Childhood memories of blackberry picking… a burst of deep, tart blackberry juice, blending with the freshness of just-gathered bay and brambly woods.”

AOA’s Seolhyun: Lolita Lempicka

“An object of desire, a rare olfactory emotion, unexpected yet very familiar. An enchanting, disconcerting, crisp floral fragrance. A fragrant note of licorice combined with aniseed, ivy, violet and tonka bean with the sweet rich notes of amarena cherry, vanilla, and praline. This blend gives way to sensual floral notes with iris and musk undertones.”

Song Ji Hyo: Lanvin Eclat d’Arpège

“Reflects the spontaneity of a modern woman. With notes of lemon leaves, lilac, osmanthus, peach blossom, peony, wisteria, tea, cedarwood, amber, and musks.” (There was no official description, so we took this caption from the Nordstrom website.)

INFINITE’s Sungyeol: Voyage d’Hermes

“Expresses the longstanding and unusual relationship between the house and travel. An interplay of paradoxes, complements and unexpected alliances upholds the premise of woody notes that are fresh yet musky, familiar yet surprising, hovering between impulsive and comforting, equally at ease with men as with women.”

Hwang Jung Eum: Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia

Girls’ Generation’s Yuri: Penhaligon’s Artemisia

“Charismatic and sensual. Artemisia is a beautifully silky fragrance, named in honor of Artemis, the Goddess of the hunt whose symbol was the Moon. At the base is a creamy, almost caramel sweet blend of vanilla and amber, which unfolds underneath a lunar veil of jasmine, violets and lily of the valley and delicate top notes of orchard fruits and crisp green foliage.”

Jang Geun Suk: Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar
