Winners of the 2015 APAN Star Awards

On the evening of November 28, key players in the Korean drama industry came together to celebrate the past year’s top talent at the APAN Star Awards. The event was held at Wonju Stadium in Kangwon-do, and was aired live on MBC Every1 and Naver’s V app.

Actor Kim Soo Hyun won the Top Award (called the Daesang) for his performance in the drama “Producer.” The show with the most wins was “Incomplete Life” (also known as “Misaeng”), which received a total of four awards.

Kim Hyun Joo took home the Top Excellence Award for Acting in a Long Drama (Female) for “I Have a Lover,” while Kim Sang Joong won the Top Excellence Award for Acting in a Long Drama (Male) for his performance in “Jingbirok.”

Kim Hee Sun grabbed the Top Excellence Award for Acting in a Medium Length Drama (Female) for “Angry Mom,” and Lee Sung Min won the Top Excellence Award for Acting in a Medium Length Drama (Male) for “Incomplete Life.”

Lee Joon received the Excellence Award for Acting in a Long Drama (Male) for his role in “Heard It Through the Grapevine,” while Kim Min Jung was awarded the Excellence Award for Acting in a Long Drama (Female) for her performance in “The Merchant: Gaekju 2015.”

Im Siwan took home the Excellence Award for Acting in a Medium Length Drama (Male) in recognition of his work in “Incomplete Life,” and Park Bo Young won the Excellence Award for Acting in a Medium Length Drama (Female) for “Oh My Ghost.”

The Best New Actress award was given to Lim Ji Yeon of “High Society” and Chae Soo Bin of “House of Bluebird.” The Best New Actor award went to Nam Joo Hyuk of “Who Are You: School 2015” and Byun Yo Han of “Incomplete Life.”

Lee Kyung Young took home the award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in “Incomplete Life,” while Kil Hae Yeon of “Heard It Through the Grapevine” and Chae Jung An of “Yong Pal” received the Best Supporting Actress award.

EXO‘s Xiumin won the award for Best SNS Web Drama for “Fall in Challenge,” but unfortunately wasn’t able to attend the night’s ceremony.

Excellence Award for Acting in a Long Drama (Male): Lee Joon (“Heard It Through the Grapevine”)

Excellence Award for Acting in a Long Drama (Female): Kim Min Jung (“The Merchant: Gaekju 2015”)

Excellence Award for Acting in a Medium Length Drama (Male): Im Siwan (“Incomplete Life”)

Excellence Award for Acting in a Medium Length Drama (Female): Park Bo Young (“Oh My Ghost”)

Best Writer: Park Kyung Soo (“Punch“)
