JTBC Denies Report That "Awl" Actors Will Not Be Receiving Royalties
Despite reports saying otherwise, the actors of the JTBC drama “Awl” will be getting paid in December.
The initial report said that the actors of the special project “Awl” would not be receiving royalties for their appearances in the drama. However, JTBC denied this claim in an official statement.
“The actors will be receiving their royalties from the production team and JTBC,” said a JTBC representative on November 30. “It’s the norm for actors to be paid the following month after a drama finishes. As the drama only finished on November 29, saying that the actors will go unpaid is a premature accusation.”
“Awl” ran for only 12 episodes, and told the story of working class laborers suffering at the hands of unfair management.
