B.A.P, EXO, GOT7 Included Among “Hottest Men Alive From Around the World”
The Odyssey has put together a list of “41 of the Hottest Men Alive from Around the World” and the list features five well-known names from the world of Korean entertainment.
The Odyssey is a U.S-based source of social news, entertainment news, and opinion, written by millennials for millennials and produced by the Olympic Media Group. The list is an implicit protest against People magazine’s choice for “Sexiest Man of the Year” (David Beckham), which typically tends to favor white men.
Among a wide variety of nationalities, including Japan, India, Egypt, Mexico, and the Netherlands, five men involved in Korean entertainment were chosen “in appreciation of gorgeous men.”
Jongup stands at No. 5 on the list (though the list is in no particular order). Jongup is currently the main dancer of B.A.P, who recently made a comeback with “Young, Wild & Free” after a legal dispute with their agency, TS Entertainment.
Another main dancer from a K-pop group stands at No. 14 on the list: EXO’s Kai. EXO had a busy year in 2015, releasing three albums and performing their solo concert “EXO’luXion” all around Asia. The list describes the dancer as “divine.”
Known as Tao or Z.Tao (full name: Huang Zitao), the former EXO member stands at No. 32. He is currently active as a musician in China.
Jo In Sung
Finally, Jackson rounds out the list at No. 41. Born in Hong Kong, he is currently active as a member of K-pop group GOT7, who recently released tracks such as “If You Do” and “Confession Song.”
Other names on the list include Jason Derulo, the American singer of Haitian descent, Prince Hashim bin Hussein of Jordan (yes, an actual prince), and Indian actors Purab Kohli and Irrfan Khan.
The Odyssey has hinted that there may be a Part 2 in the works. Do you agree with the selection? Who do you think should be included?
