Akdong Musician Confirms May 2 Comeback + Details

It’s been too long since we’ve heard from Akdong Musician, but now the wait is finally over.

The brother-sister duo confirms today that they will be making a comeback on May 2 with their second album. It has been two years since since their debut album, “Play,” which was released in April 2014.

A YG Entertainment source stated, “Akdong Musician is putting on the final touches for a May 2 comeback. You can expect a good album and title track.”

Akdong Musician is currently filming two music videos for their new album.

Previously, Yang Hyun Suk, the CEO of YG Entertainment, revealed that Lee Chan Hyuk, the male half of Akdong Musician, will be enlisting to fulfill his compulsory military service after promotions for the new album are complete.

Akdong Musician caught the public’s attention through their win in 2012 on “K-pop Star 2.” The duo then signed with YG Entertainment. In 2014, they released their first studio album, “Play.”
