Song Joong Ki Reveals a Time He Cried Because of Lee Kwang Soo

During his recent fan meeting, Song Joong Ki expressed a time when he was grateful to his best friend of six years, Lee Kwang Soo.

The actor reveals, “Soon after I entered the army, my older brother got married. Kwang Soo went to my house in Daejeon in my stead and acted like our family’s second son, taking pictures with over 1000 people. When I was on a break after 100 days in the army, I saw a video from that day and cried.”

Song Joong Ki and Lee Kwang Soo’s close friendship started back in 2010, when they were the youngest, same-age members of SBS’s “Running Man,” and has only grown stronger since.

While Song Joong Ki left “Running Man” in 2011, the two continued to be the best of friends, and were co-stars in KBS2’s “The Innocent Man,” in 2012.

In fact, during an interview held last May, after his release from the army, Song Joong Ki revealed that Lee Kwang Soo was his biggest source of strength while he was in the army, as opposed to a girl group.

He also recently revealed how apologetic and thankful he was to Lee Kwang Soo for the cameo appearance in KBS2’s “Descendants of the Sun.”

Known amongst fans for always being around each other, and basically family, these two actors’ friendship will surely last for a lifetime.
