JTBC Announces A New Mukbang Show Featuring Girl Group Members

Cable network JTBC is jumping on the mukbang bandwagon with plans for a new food-centric variety show.

On May 2, a representative from JTBC told TV Report, “We’re planning for a new show called ‘Girls Who Eat Well.’ We haven’t decided what time it will be broadcast or who will appear on the show.”

The show will gather foodie members of girl groups in order to have one-on-one “mukbang battles.”

JTBC has planned to bring Sung Chi Kyung on board as the director of the show. Sung Chi Kyung has previously worked on shows like “Children, The Life’s Greatest Blessing,” “With You,” and “Old House, New House.”
