New Stills From "W" Show Glimpses Into Lee Jong Suk's Dark Past

On July 18, “W” released some new stills from the upcoming Wednesday-Thursday MBC drama, which show Kang Chul (played by Lee Jong Suk) on trial for murder, a far cry from the status of his character in previous teasers, which show Lee Jong Suk at the height of stardom.

“W” is about two people — Oh Yeon Joo (Han Hyo Joo), a doctor who lives in the real world, and Kang Chul, an extremely young, rich, and talented man who is the main character of the webtoon “W” — whose cross-dimensional lives intertwine when Oh Yeon Joo gets sucked into the world of the webtoon.

The scenes shown in these new stills of Lee Jong Suk, which show part of his character’s dark past, will air in the first two episodes of the drama.

The “W” production staff said, “The scenes in the stills are very important, showing the deep scars that Kang Chul, a seemingly perfect man, carries.”

“W” will premiere on July 20 at 10 p.m. KST. Catch it on Viki!
