Kwak Dong Yeon Says He Was Hurt By The Dating Rumours With Kim So Hyun

Kwak Dong Yeon has been making quite a name for himself with his recent role in “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.”

In the drama, he played a palace guard with great skills and an even greater sense of loyalty. The character was so popular that he was even given the title “Gat Byung Yeon” (“Gat” refers to the conical hat that his character Kim Byung Yeon wore in the drama, and is also a pun on “God”).

But his acting skills aren’t the only thing that won over the audience. The promising young actor also has, by absolute accident, endeared himself to the viewers with his earnest and genuine image in variety shows, including “Radio Star” and “Happy Together 3.” In a recent interview, Kwak Dong Yeon said that he just appeared on the shows without giving much thought, but somehow his appearance became a hot topic.

Despite the public’s interest, the actor said that he tries to avoid variety shows because they terrify him. Recounting his experience in “Radio Star,” he explained that he only chose Kim So Hyun as his ideal type because he was pressed for a name. After the episode, rumors about him dating Kim So Hyun surfaced after the episode aired, which hurt him greatly.
