Park Hye Soo And Yang Se Jong Star As The Younger Lee Young Ae And Song Seung Heon In “Saimdang, Light’s Diary” Stills

Recently, the upcoming SBS drama “Saimdang, Light’s Diary” released some stills of the actors who will play the younger versions of the main leads, Lee Young Ae and Song Seung Heon.

Yang Se Jong will be playing Han Sang Hyun, a university lecturer, in the modern day, and also the younger version of Song Seung Heon’s Lee Gyeom in the Joseon dynasty. Yang Se Jong recently appeared in another SBS drama, “Romantic Doctor Kim,” where he played Do In Bum, a doctor and the son of Do Yoon Wan (Choi Jin Ho).

Park Hye Soo will be playing the younger version of Lee Young Ae’s Saimdang. She appeared on “K-Pop Star 4” in 2014 and in 2015 appeared alongside Joo Won and Kim Tae Hee in the drama “Yong Pal” as Joo Won’s terminally ill younger sister. She also appeared in the JTBC drama “Age of Youth” as a young college student and won the Rising Star Award in the drama category at the 2016 Asia Artist Awards.

“Saimdang, Light’s Diary” is about a modern-day professor (Lee Young Ae) who finds the diary of Shin Saimdang, a famous female Korean artist and writer in the Joseon dynasty. Through the diary, she discovers new information about Saimdang and her relationship with fellow artist Lee Gyeom.

The drama will premiere on January 26. Watch the trailer below!
