MBC Dominates In March Variety Show Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute has announced this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety shows.
MBC dominated this month’s rankings, taking first to fourth place on the rankings. This is said to be due to MBC variety shows incorporating recent trends and refreshing ideas to draw participation, communication, and laughter from viewers, especially from younger generations.
Information was gathered from February 2 to March 3 on 23 of the most popular variety shows. 30.95 million pieces of data were analyzed based on consumer brand participation and communication, brand expansion, and consumption.
In first place was “Infinite Challenge,” with a brand index of 4,524,964 points. The show came in first place despite this being a 11.93 percent drop from February statistics, most likely due to the show being on hiatus.
In second place was “I Live Alone,” which enjoyed a 3.12 percent increase from last month for a brand index of 3,233,023 points. This was followed by “Radio Star,” which came in at 3,153,586 points, falling 3.77 percent from last month.
Fourth and tenth place went to “King of Masked Singer” and “We Got Married” respectively, leading to MBC nabbing five spots in the Top 10 rankings of this month.
