SECHSKIES Announces Official Release Date For 20th Anniversary Album

SECHSKIES has set April 28 as the official date for their comeback, and the group will be releasing their first album of new songs in 17 years.

Through their official blog on April 19, YG Entertainment released a poster that announced plans for SECHSKIES’s 20th anniversary project. The only date that has been set so far is the release of their new album, which will be available on April 28.

Though SECHSKIES released “2016 Re-Album” last year, the album contained only remakes of their old songs. Therefore, this will be the group’s first album that has brand new songs since “Blue Note,” which was released on May 31, 2000.

SECHSKIES kicked off their return in 2016 by signing on with YG Entertainment and releasing “Three Words,” which dominated online music charts when it was released. This new album will most likely set the group’s direction as musicians in the future.

April 2017 is a special month for SECHSKIES and their fans as it marks the group’s 20th anniversary. Having shared the 90s K-pop scene with SECHSKIES, Yang Hyun Suk plans to give the upcoming project his all, helping the group as an industry senior and a good friend rather than just as a producer.

The poster not only teases a new album, but a photo book and DVD, concerts, fan meets, and a “Yellow Universe” exhibition, so fans have lots to look forward to!
