The latest episode of Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 2,” which aired April 28 KST, saw the continuation of group battles covering popular songs from K-pop boy groups.

Last week, contestants performed 2PM’s “10 Out of 10” and EXO’s “Call Me Baby.” This week, viewers saw performances of Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry,” BTS’s “Boy in Luv,” SHINee’s “Replay,” SEVENTEEN’s “Mansae,” Infinite’s “Be Mine,” and BEAST’s “Shock.”

While many expected the “Avengers” (Group 1 performing “Boy in Luv”) team to win the overall group battle on-site scoring, the Group 1 that performed SEVENTEEN’s “Mansae” (Park Woo Dam, Joo Won Tak, Kim Yeon Guk, Woo Jin Young, Kim Tae Dong) took first place, despite an unexpected member loss, and Park Woo Dam, the main vocal of the group, ranked first for the contestants. He commented, “I thought people would only like good-looking trainees, but thank you.”

Along with first place, rankings up to 11th were revealed for the on-site voting. Ahn  Hyung Seob was third, Choi Min Ki was fourth, Kwon Hyun Bin fifth, Takada Kenta sixth, Yoo Jin Won seventh, Jang Moon Bok also seventh, ninth was Yoon Hee Suk, 10th was Park Ji Hoon, and 11th was Lee Ki Won.

Next week, viewers will find out final rankings, which include the online vote scores. Contestants ranking from 61 and below are expected to be eliminated.
