2PM's Chansung Makes Impressive Transformation For His First Historical Drama

2PM’s Chansung has been keeping busy lately!

Last month, it was confirmed that Chansung would be starring in KBS 2TV’s historical drama “Queen for 7 Days” and the drama has recently released new stills that reveal his character for the first time.

In the drama, which is Chansung’s first historical drama, the singer-actor plays the role of Seo No, the best friend of King Jung Jong/Lee Yeok (Yeon Woo Jin). In the photos, Chansung is pictured standing on a boat, wearing dark attire. His hat swoops over his face, as if he is attempting to conceal his identity, which is leading many to wonder what sort of situation his character is in.

The production staff for “Queen for 7 Days” had nothing but praise for Chansung and said, “It was hard to believe that this was Chansung’s first historical drama because he was able to immerse himself in the narrative from the very first day of filming. We believe this was possible because of his thorough analysis of his character as well as his tireless efforts.”

“Queen for 7 Days” will follow the story of Queen Dangyeong (Park Min Young), who was on the throne for a mere seven days. Yeo Woo Jin will play King Jung Jong, while Lee Dong Gun will play the role of Yeonsangun, King Jung Jong’s half-brother and Queen Dangyeong’s other love interest. The drama will begin airing on May 31, following the end of “Mystery Queen.” Check out the latest trailer for the drama here!
