Girls’ Generations’ Taeyeon has been chosen to emcee the first ever “Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards.” A representative from Gaon Charts stated, “Taeyeon has been chosen as the MC for ‘The 1st Gaon Charts K-Pop Awards,’ which will be held on February 22 at the Seoul Hannam Blue Square Samsung Card Hall.”

1N2D’s Teary Conclusion

Six months have already passed since 1n2d announced that their final episode was to air six months later. This week the first part of the two-part conclusion was aired. As expected it was heavy hearted, and full of memorable clips from past episodes. The staff prepared a surprise event for the members in an old fashioned theatre.

Miss A’s Suzy has been gaining much praise from netizens for her great fan service. On February 18, an online community board posted a photo of Suzy’s random autographs to her fans. All 12 autographs shown in the photo have different messages decorated with her hand-drawing. Suzy wrote to one fan, “Have you eaten yet?” along with a drawing of a bowl of rice. In another message she wrote, “It’s really cold, huh?” along with a picture of earmuffs. Some of the other messages read, “Thank you for coming! I hope you return feeling energized,” and “Your hands must be cold!”

Actress Han Ga In recently surprised fans with her many complexes regarding her looks.
Han Ga In appeared on February 18’s broadcast of KBS’s "I Like Movies" for an interview about her new movie, "Introduction to Architecture," co-starring Uhm Tae Woong, Lee Jae Hoon, and miss A’s Suzy. The MC of the show asked her some questions sent in by netizens.
One of the questions was "Does even a flawless beauty like Han Ga In have a part of her appearance she doesn’t like?" Smiling shyly, she replied, "Of course I have a lot [of complexes]."

K-Pop Songwriter’s Racist Tweets Spark Outrage

Jenny Hyun, the co-songwriter behind Girls Generation’s "How Great is Your Love" and Chocolat’s "One More Day" recently sparked controversy with a slew of racist tweets.

On February 16, she posted over a dozen derogatory comments on her Twitter against African-Americans. The fuel for her outrage? A dismissive tweet by boxer Floyd Mayweather about NBA star Jeremy Lin. Hyun stated that Floyd was a "subhuman, ungrateful APE," and then started spreading vitriol about the black community in general. She insinuated that Whitney Houston’s recent passing wasn’t such a loss because she was black, and referred to black people as "disgusting, violent, arrogant, and stupid." Then, in an even more frightening twist, she repeatedly called for the eradication of the entire black race.
