Kim Hyun Joong sold 100.000 copies of his Japanese debut single, "KISS KISS/Lucky Guy," which was released only a week ago on January 25. This puts him in the second place of Oricon’s Weekly Chart. Kim Hyun Joong already had a pretty big fan base in Japan from SS501 activities and TV shows "Boys Over Flowers" and "Playful Kiss."

CN Blue First Korean Artist on Japanese MTV Unplugged
CN Blue appeared on MTV “Unplugged” which was the first as a Korean singer. They sang 12 songs for the filming of MTV “Unplugged” which was held on January 31 in Japan. There were 150 fans that were at the performance. MTV Unplugged began in Japan since July 2011. The Japanese version still stays true to its roots by having singers perform in front of a live audience with an acoustic feel.
SPICA Kim Bo Hyung Used to Be a Trainee with 2NE1
It has just been revealed that Kim Bo Hyung of SPICA used to be a trainee of 2NE1. SPICA gained attention for being a part of Lee Hyori’s agency. Lee Hyori even appeared in their music video for “Doggedly.” Kim Bo Hyung is the lead vocals for SPICA and she trained with 2NE1 for over two years at YG Entertainment. In an interview on January 31 she stated, “I used to be a trainee with the four members of 2NE1. Then it was decided that 2NE1 would be made into a four member group. The CEO YG introduced me to Loen Entertainment and I am now a member of SPICA.”

On February 1 (Korean Time), an online community board posted pictures of SNSD entering into the studio for the recording were shown. The members of SNSD don’t look too nervous and they are still sparkling. Each member is wearing something that gives off a unique vibe.

SBS MTV’s “Music Island” has added SNSD’s Sunny, IU, Rainbow, and Sunny Hill to its already star-studded main cast! SNSD’s Sunny will be the main MC of the show, making it her first solo live show host experience. IU, Rainbow, and Sunny Hill will join MBLAQ, Block-B, B.A.P, and Jung Yeop as the main performing guests for the first recording of the highly-anticipated “live talk” music show.
Se7en’s "When I Can’t Sing" Was Made for G.O.D.’s Son Ho Young
An internet board café fit all the pieces together and found out that Se7en’s new single “When I Can’t Sing” wasn’t a newly made song for Se7en. It was actually a song made for G.O.D.’s Son Ho Young. This comes as interesting news because “When I Can’t Sing” caught a lot of attention for being a collaboration between JYPE and YGE.
Miryo Releases Full Version Music Video of “Dirty”
Miryo released the full version music video of her song “Dirty.” The song itself is about a lover that she is disgusted of because of his changing behavior. Miryo ends up saying that the lover is dirty. Now she is not going to care about the guy anymore. The music video shows Miryo who is in a coma, but she is aware of everything going on. Her friend and her lover seem to be having an affair right in front of her eyes. At the end Miryo gets what she wants as everyone she disliked in the music video ends up sprawled on the floor.
Shinhwa Opens Up Official Homepage and Starts Comeback Engine
Shinhwa opened up their official “Shinhwa Company” website on February 1. (www.shinhwacompany.co.kr) The main page shows a teaser where ice breaks showing the words Shinhwa. Another teaser shows a concert teaser that is mixed up of different teasers. During that clip the words that are shown are “Just like we have for 10 years we will keep our promise to the fans. Whether 10 years pass by or 20 we will not breakup.”
Se7en’s Comeback Song "When I Can’t Sing" #1 on Real-Time Online Music Charts
As of now it appears that Se7en’s comeback song “When I Can’t Sing” which was produced by JYP seems to have started off a successful comeback after 1 year and 6 months. The single and music video were both released on February 1, 2012 at 12am (Korean Time). The track has reached #1 on real-time online music charts. The song contains Se7en’s own story which talks about his insecurities and if one would still love him for who he really is.

Jay Park has one more week (February 7) before he releases his first official album. As a teaser Jay Park released his album poster. Just like his skull painting album teaser that was released on January 26, Jay Park is wearing a suit. However, because of the skull painting on his face, the last teaser image was a bit dark.
