"Sector 7" Opens in Select Cities in US and Canada

“Secret Garden” fans in North America who miss Ha Ji Won will have a chance to catch her on the big screen this month. Her sci-fi-action movie “Sector 7” releases in 11 cities in the US and Canada on September 16. The film was already opened on CGV Cinemas in Los Angeles on September 9. It will also be screened in Honolulu on October 14.

"Arrow, The Ultimate Weapon" Tops Movie Box Office

The movie "Arrow, the Ultimate Weapon" topped the box office during its debut weekend. The historical action drama, which stars Park Hae Il, Ryu Seong Ryong, and Moon Chae Won, attracted 976,569 moviegoers the weekend of August 12, according to the Korean Box Office System. The movie opened in theaters on August 10. In second place was the thriller film "Blind," starring Kim Ha Neul and Yoo Seung Ho. It has attracted 423,439 moviegoers since its premiere last week.

Sector 7: Ha Ji Won, "People Said that My Character Was Scarier Than the Monster"

Through “Sector 7” Ha Ji Won confessed that she wanted to try and show a female warrior that was as good as Hollywood actresses. Ha Ji Won appeared on “Baek Ji-Yeon’s People Inside” that will be broadcast on August 14th. She stated, “I heard that it’s better to portray a Hollywood actress more than an Asian actress for Sector 7, I wanted to break out of that mold. However, after watching the movie my friends told me that I was scarier than the monster. I guess I was pretty scary in the film after all.”

Ha Ji Won Writes Personal Letter to Fans for Supporting “Sector 7”

Ha Ji Won tweeted a special handwritten letter to her fans on August 8th, regarding her blockbuster movie, “Sector 7.” With a scanned image of the letter, the star actress tweeted, “Last weekend we had stage events in Taegu and Busan for ‘Sector 7.’ Although I was so busy with the events, I wrote a few sentences for you guys, so please take a look~Because of the hurricane, there’s a lot of rain and winds, but I hope everyone’s safe. I’ll try to be more active on twitter too!”

Weekly Box Office Report: Final Week of July

Featured Film of the Week: Sector 7, In Sector 7, an underwater oil field located south of Jeju Island, Hae-jun (Portrayed by Ha Ji Won) is working as a marine equipment manager on an oil prospecting ship called Eclipse. Joining the crew later is Jeong-man (Portrayed by Ahn Sung-Ki), a former colleague of Hae-jun’s father, assigned to Eclipse as captain. Though his job is to oversee the withdrawal of the ship, he suggests conducting some drilling one last time. After 3 weeks of preparation, Hae-jun takes new recruit underwater, but he sinks to the bottom of the sea when his equipment fails. Shortly after crew members begin to turn up dead, one by one, their bodies viciously mutilated. What the few survivors soon discover is a transparent underwater creature they encountered once before. The viral monster infiltrated the ship through the drilling pipe and has been feeding on the crew to survive. For Hae-jun and his colleagues, a fight for their lives begins.

Ha Ji Won Attends "Sector 7" Press Conference

The press conference for the upcoming 3D action movie "Sector 7" was held yesterday afternoon at CGV Wangsimni in Seoul. Ha Ji Won, Oh Ji Ho, Ahn Sung Ki, and Park Chul Min, who star in the movie, attended the conference, as well as director Kim Ji Hoon.
