If Romeo and Juliet married, would they have lived happily ever after? Channel A’s new Monday and Tuesday night drama, “Goodbye Dear Wife,” is set to air its first episode on May 7 at 8:40pm. The drama is a romantic comedy that follows the life of a married couple who faces some serious temptations when their respective first loves appear back in their lives. The story revolves around the difficulties of life after marriage.

Ryu Shi Won Talks about Divorce for the First Time in Public

Ryu Shi Won gave his official response regarding his divorce. As we reported before, many wondered if Ryu Shi Won would talk about his divorce at the “Goodbye My Dear Wife” press conference held today on on May 3. Ryu Shi Won stated, “I said that I would show you a good side of me, but now that the situation has become bad, I feel like I have not tried hard enough. I am sorry to my fans because my situation has end up this way. I honestly don’t really have anything else to say. My position has not changed. For me my family and daughter is everything. I will try my best to protect the family.”

With the upcoming broadcast of the first episode of “Goodbye Dear Wife” set to be aired on May 7, the poster for the drama was released on May 1. The title in the poster, “Does love disappear with marriage?” accurately depicts the drama and love triangle between Ryu Shi Won, Hong Soo Hyun and Park Jiyoon’s characters.

Ryu Shi Won Cancels Fan Event, Due to Divorce?

Ryu Shi Won announced on his Japanese website that drama tour "2012 Spring Waltz with Ryu Shi Won," which was scheduled on June 2, is now cancelled. The announcement stated, "Due to Ryu Shi Won’s ongoing drama filming schedule, he will not be able to participate in the event. We are very sorry for causing such inconvenience to the fans and asking for your understanding."

The legal counsel of Ryu Shi Won’s wife claimed that such provisional seizure is a part of divorce mediation and asked the press and Ryu Shi Won’s fans to not stretch the meaning of it.

Due to recent events Ryu Shi Won had stopped filming for his upcoming drama “Goodbye Dear Wife.” As we reported earlier, Ryu Shi Won’s wife “Jo Soo In” filed divorce papers on March 22. The two married in October, 2010 and have a daughter that was born on January 2, 2011. A representative of the drama stated on April 12, “Ryu Shi Won is filming since yesterday once again. Although he is not psychologically stable, at the filming site he showed composure. Ryu Shi Won was completely absorbed in acting. He is doing his best to fulfill his responsibilities.”
