G.NA Discusses the Ban Placed On Her Song "Banana"

Singer G.NA has made a triumphant return after enjoying much success all year long with the achievements of her past releases. For her "Top Girl" comeback, G.NA has made some changes to better fit her new concept.
"Singing ‘Top Girl’ makes me feel excited, like I can just get up and smile if I accidentally fall on stage or think, ‘It’s okay, I look fine,’ if I’m wearing clothes that don’t match. The song makes me burst with confidence," she began.

[Update] MBC Bans G.NA’s New Song "Banana," "Too Suggestive"

“Banana” which is the new song that G.NA will begin her comeback with just got censored from MBC, because the lyrics were "too suggestive.” On August 17th, MBC decided that the content was too explicit and it would not be aired for its broadcasting company. However, representatives of G.NA stated that the song was not intended to be explicit in anyway. It is odd because, KBS and SBS do not have any issue with the song. Cube Entertainment stated on August 19th, “The new title ‘Banana’ has received a restriction by MBC. However the song was not made with any intention of being explicit. ‘Banana’ is a song about a female figure that is confident. The hip hop song contains a chorus with the lyrics ‘banana~’ and the song has the theme of living today in a different way, starting again with fresh perspective.”

G.NA’s New Album to Feature Wheesung

On August 16th, G.NA revealed the track list for her upcoming second mini album through a press release. The title track, “Top Girl,” is produced by hit maker Kim Do Hoon, composed by Lee Sang Ho, and written by R&B singer Wheesung. With an addictive melody and refined sound, “Top Girl” is expected to be another hit song, just like her previous hits “Black & White” and “Nice to Meet You.”
