Watch: Lee Joon Gi And Seo Ye Ji Team Up In New Teasers For "Lawless Lawyer"

tvN’s upcoming drama “Lawless Lawyer” has released new teasers ahead of its premiere!

“Lawless Lawyer” is a legal drama that tells the story of gang member turned lawyer Bong Sang Pil (played by Lee Joon Gi), who uses his fists and knowledge to fight for justice, and Ha Jae Yi (played by Seo Ye Ji), a hot-tempered and reckless lawyer.

The first teaser shows a little boy hiding in a dark area on a rainy night. He looks scared as a woman’s voice warns him to not trust anyone. Ahn Oh Joo (played by Choi Min Soo) then appears and tells him to come out before he gets in trouble with his mom.

This seems to be a glimpse at the history of Bong Sang Pil and Ahn Oh Joo. Bong Sang Pil says, “Time stopped after my mom left.”

Fast forwarding to present day, Bong Sang Pil and Ha Jae Yi chase after suspects in an exciting car chase. They work together until they one day come face-to-face with Ahn Oh Joo. Bong Sang Pil suspects he has a connection with a murder case he’s working on, but the former gangster turned chaebol doesn’t seem phased by the speculations and continues to smile.

The teaser then introduces Cha Moon Sook, who looks calm but intimidating. A man gets on his knees before her and she watches with a smile. She then sits on the judge’s bench in a courtroom as a judge. Ahn Oh Joo warns, “Don’t cross the line,” and Cha Moon Sook adds, “I don’t trust living things.” Bong Sang Pil states, “This fight is going to be our fight, Ha Jae Yi.”

The second teaser starts with the audio of a news story about the beginning of a trial for a murder case. Bong Sang Pil interviews Ha Jae Yi and she doesn’t seem too pleased. “I’m a lawyer,” she states and he replies, “I’m a lawyer too.”

He adds, “A woman like you who has a loud voice and a strong fist is perfect as my office manager,” getting excited about his new co-worker.

Another teaser for the first episode shows Lee Joon Gi at the heart of some crime-fighting action. He says, “From now on, you’ll avoid the law with me, and defeat and revive the law.”

After glimpses of the younger boy and Ahn Oh Joo as well as another older man who seems to be close to Bong Sang Pil, Ha Jae Yi enters the picture. She shouts, “I’m a lawyer!” and claps inside of a courtroom after Cha Moon Sook delivers the final verdict of someone being not guilty.

Bong Sang Pil tells her that their first case is a murder and sounds excited about their teamwork.

“Lawless Lawyer” will premiere on May 12 at 9 p.m. KST.
