May Variety Star Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has published this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety stars!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the media coverage, participation, communication, and social indexes of 40 popular entertainers using data from April 4 to May 5.

Comedienne Lee Young Ja shot to the top of this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 2,873,178, enjoying a staggering 115.17 percent increase from her April score.

High-ranking phrases in Lee Young Ja’s keyword analysis included her MBC variety show “Omniscient Interfering View,” as well as “manager” and “mukbang (eating broadcast).” The comedienne’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 59.11 percent positive reactions.

Lee Sang Min rose one spot to claim second place in this month’s rankings, despite seeing a 20.53 percent decrease in his score since April. The variety star scored a brand reputation index of 1,891,175.

Yoo Jae Suk, Jun Hyun Moo, and Kim Jong Kook rounded out the top five for May, with all three entertainers’ brand reputation indexes decreasing in varying degrees since last month.
