“The Accidental Detective 2: In Action” is a box office hit!

On the fifth day of its release, “The Accidental Detective 2: In Action” surpassed 1 million moviegoers on June 17 at around 7:50 p.m. KST.

This comedy investigation film is about Sherlock Holmes fan and comic book store owner Kang Dae Man (played by Kwon Sang Woo), legendary detective Noh Tae Soo (played by Sung Dong Il), and former ace of cybercrime investigation team Yeo Chi (played by Lee Kwang Soo) who team up to investigate crime.

The film’s speed of success is faster than that of its prequel “The Accidental Detective: The Beginning” and the “Detective K” series.

The speed is also equal to that of the “Tazza” series, and the film now joins the ranks as films “Confidential Assignment,” “The Sheriff in Town,” and “Twenty” of its same genre.

“The Accidental 2: In Action” is also currently tied with “Believer” which was the fastest Korean film of 2018 to reach 1 million moviegoers.

Sung Dong Il, Kwon Sang Woo, and Lee Kwang Soo celebrated their latest feat on CJ Entertainment’s official Instagram.

The cast made “100” with their arms to signify the 1 million moviegoers and posted a video of Kwon Sang Woo doing 100 push-ups to fulfill his promise.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of “The Accidental Detective 2: In Action”!
