5 Tense Moments That Gave Everyone Chills In

Tensions are higher than ever in tvN’s “Lawless Lawyer” with only two episodes left before the drama comes to an end. The tight plot, as well as the great acting by the cast, including Lee Joon Gi (Bong Sang Pil), Seo Ye Ji (Ha Jae Yi), Lee Hye Young (Cha Moon Sook), and Choi Min Soo (Ahn Oh Joo), are some of the reasons why viewers can’t take their eyes off the screen.

Dramatic visuals and unexpected plot twists also add fun to the drama. When all these little elements come together, they create scenes that are very hard to forget. Here are five moments from “Lawless Lawyer” that left everyone feeling chills!

Spoiler

1. Lee Joon Gi vs. Lee Hye Young

In episode 11, Cha Moon Sook set off to realize her dreams outside her area of Kisung. The scene where Bong Sang Pil and Cha Moon Sook stand next to each other in line with the statues of Cha Byung Ho and goddess Dike perfectly visualized the stark contrast between good and evil. This scene doubled with Bong Sang Pil’s line, “I will definitely judge you. Right here in Kisung.” was a cathartic moment for the viewers.

2. Lee Joon Gi vs. Choi Min Soo

In episode 12, the silent yet fierce battle between Bong Sang Pil and Ahn Oh Joo added to the tension. After securing the evidence that Ahn Oh Joo incited the murder of Choi Dae Woong (Ahn Nae Sang), Bong Sang Pil confronted Ahn Oh Joo to give him a warning. Infuriated by this action, Ahn Oh Joo had Bong Sang Pil at gunpoint but Bong Sang Pil refused to back down. The breathtaking confrontation between the two was enough to make the viewers shudder.

3. Seo Ye Ji vs. Lee Hye Young

In episode 11, Ha Jae Yi found out that the lady working as an acupressurist for Cha Moon Sook is her mother, No Hyun Joo (Baek Joo Hee). When she failed to contact No Hyun Joo, Ha Jae Yi visited Cha Moon Sook to find out the truth for herself. The contrast between Ha Jae Yi, who became uncontrollable with anger, and Cha Moon Sook, who regarded her coldly, grabbed the viewers’ attention. This scene also served as the part where the two characters who were once close parted ways forever.

4. Seo Ye Ji vs. Choi Min Soo

In episode 11, Ha Jae Yi recevied a message from Ahn Oh Joo that he intended to step up to testify as a witness to prove Bong Sang Pil’s innocence before his trial. Ha Jae Yi soon came to strike a risky deal in order to free Bong Sang Pil. Ha Jae Yi’s determination and strong will, as well as Ahn Oh Joo’s shady plans, made the plot even more compelling.

5. Lee Hye Young vs. Choi Min Soo

In episode 9, Cha Moon Sook began paying extra attention to Ahn Oh Joo. When Ahn Oh Joo framed Bong Sang Pil for the murder of Choi Dae Woong, it created an irreparable distance between the two. Cha Moon Sook told him, “You bark only when I tell you to bark, only bite when I tell you to bite. You’re my dog that I raised.” Ahn Oh Joo then retorted, “This is my loyalty to cover up your past.” As the two villains turned against each other, viewers were left curious as to how the story would turn at that point.
