Ji Sang Ryul Talks About How He Crossed Paths With Gong Yoo And Kang Dong Won

Ji Sang Ryul revealed on “Happy Together” that he once gave acting advice to Gong Yoo and Kang Dong Won in the past.

The August 16 episode of KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together” starred impressive guests including Koyote, Crush, Jang Deok Cheol, Chungha, Lee Gye In, Ji Sang Ryul, Yeom Kyung Hwan, Han Sang Jin, and (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi.

Ji Sang Ryul’s story about how he came to know Gong Yoo and Kang Dong Won received a lot of attention. When Gong Yoo and Kang Dong Won were rookie actors, Ji Sang Ryul was part of the same drama they were in. To the surprise of the other guests, he shared that while filming together, he told them, “You have to act comfortably for the viewers to be comfortable. Relax.” He acted like a proud senior and made the guests and audience laugh by saying, “Everyone who has done a project with me are now super famous.”

In response, Han Sang Jin revealed that when filming “Yi San,” Ji Sang Ryul took three hours to say just one word, which earned him the nickname “NG general.” The studio broke out in laughter. Jun Hyun Moo added, “The person who said to relax took three hours to say one word,” which made things even funnier for the audience.

“Happy Together” airs every Thursday at 11:10 p.m. KST.
