BTS broke their first week sales record on Hanteo already!

On April 12 at 6 p.m. KST, BTS released their new mini album “Map of the Soul: Persona.” By 9 p.m. that evening, it had already recorded 1.38 million sales on Hanteo chart.

The number continued to rise, and the mini album went on to surpass 1,479,930 sales on Hanteo in its first day of sales.

Last year, BTS’s “Love Yourself: Tear” sold 1,003,527 units on Hanteo in its first week, which was the highest number of albums recorded on Hanteo in the first week of release ever since the chart’s creation in 1993. “Map of the Soul: Persona” has now come along and broken BTS’s first week sales record in just an evening!

“Map of the Soul: Persona” includes the title track “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey, and it has been breaking records on YouTube and topping charts both in Korea and internationally.
