TWICE’s “Candy Pop” Becomes Their 1st Japanese MV To Hit 100 Million Views
TWICE has achieved a new milestone!
On April 30 around 11:45 p.m. KST, TWICE’s “Candy Pop” became their first Japanese music video to reach 100 million views on YouTube.
The music video for “Candy Pop” was released on January 12, 2018, at 12 a.m. KST, meaning that it has hit 100 million views a year and four months after its release. This is TWICE’s 11th music video to reach 100 million views after “Yes or Yes” hit the mark back in December.
When “Candy Pop” was officially released as a single in February 2018, it soon topped Oricon charts and was certified platinum. In fact, TWICE has had six consecutive releases go platinum since they made their debut in Japan.
Other Japanese music videos by K-pop groups that have surpassed 100 million views on YouTube include Girls’ Generation’s “Mr. Taxi (Dance Version).”
