ASTRO's Sanha And AOA's Chanmi Cast As Leads In New Romance Web Drama

ASTRO’s Sanha and AOA’s Chanmi will be starring as leads in a web drama!

“Love Equation 11M” (literal title) tells the story of Ji Yoon, a girl who lives as a regular college student after experiencing an injury that forces her to give up on her dream of becoming a soccer player. The drama follows the romance between Ji Yoon and her good-looking upperclassman Tae Oh.

Chanmi will play Ji Yoon, who used to have a genius ability at shooting the soccer ball and was expected to become Korea’s best female soccer player when she was little. Sanha will take on the role of Tae Oh, the key striker at his college soccer club. He’s immensely popular among girls, but he’s also a romantic guy who can’t forget Ji Yoon, whom he one-sidedly loved in his childhood. He miraculously reunites with Ji Yoon and learns what true love is.

On why they chose to cast Sanha, director Lee Eun Il explained, “I thought Sanha’s boyish face would portray the freshness and purity of young love well.”

Sanha shared through his agency Fantagio Music, “It’s the first time since my debut that I’m challenging myself to acting, so I’m very excited and nervous. I’ll do my best to prepare [for the drama] and work hard so that it can become a good drama that will leave an impression on many people, so please look forward to it.” His fellow ASTRO members Cha Eun Woo and Moonbin are also developing their acting careers. Cha Eun Woo will be starring in “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung,” a historical drama with Shin Se Kyung, and Moonbin was cast in “18 Moments,” starring Ong Seong Wu and Kim Hyang Gi.

Meanwhile, Chanmi was the lead actress in web drama “What’s Up With These Kids?” (literal title), and she also made cameo appearances in KBS 2TV’s “Father Is Strange” and JTBC’s “SKY Castle.”

“Love Equation 11M” will begin filming in late-June.
