Eliminated

Contestants who were eliminated in the latest episode of “Produce X 101” took to social media to share their thoughts and thank those who supported them on the show.

On July 12, “Produce X 101” held the third elimination that reduced the number of trainees from 31 to 20. The ten eliminated trainees were Kim Kook Heon, Lee Jin Woo, Kim Dong Yun, Lee Hyeop, Park Sun Ho, Kang Hyeon Su, Kim Si Hoon, Choi Su Hwan, Joo Chang Uk, and Kim Hyeon Bin. Choi Byung Chan also left the program after dropping out due to health issues.

Shortly after the episode aired, several eliminated contestants began posting messages to thank their fans.

Park Sun Ho shared, “My unfulfilled dream from when I was young had stuck deep in my heart, so I had not gotten over it, but ‘Produce X 101’ was a chance for me to release the last bits of attachment. At first, I was very afraid and wondered if it was right for me to take on the challenge, but while thinking of this as my last chance to dance and sing on stage, I resolved to be courageous and take on the challenge.”

He added, “I wasn’t able to fulfill my dream of debuting, but I did my utmost best until the concept stage, which became my last stage. As I received love and felt happiness on stage, I do feel a bit sad, but I have no regrets.”

He concluded by thanking Lee Dong Wook, the trainers, National Producers, and the fellow contestants.

Kang Hyeon Su wrote, “At the time when I was about to give up everything, the opportunity of ‘Produce X 101’ coincidentally came to me, and in order to have no more regrets, I did my absolute best in every moment. At first, I was discouraged because there were not many people who knew who I was, but after trying my hardest, there were many people who began to recognize me and cheer me on, and it gave me a lot of strength!”

He concluded, “I was really happy while participating on this program. It was like a dream to experience a lot of things I have never experienced and receive so much love that I have never received before. The memories don’t stop here, so let’s make many more better memories going forward. Thank you so much to everyone who supported me!”

Individual trainee Choi Su Hwan posted on his personal Instagram, “I never dreamed that I would get this big opportunity and receive so much love and attention as an individual trainee! It still feels like I’m dreaming. At first, I was scared of all of the attention I received. I was worried that I would disappoint everyone with my lacking self, and there were times that I wanted to give up, but thanks to the National Producers who looked after me and gave me lots of love, I didn’t give up and was able to work harder!”

He concluded, “Although my challenge in ‘Produce X 101’ stops here, my race towards my dream of debut is just beginning, so please continue to look after me and support me! I am very thankful to have been given memories that I will never forget. Thanks to all of you, I have been really happy during this time. I think it is time now for me to make National Producers happy.”

Individual trainee Lee Hyeop wrote  “At this new beginning, I will not rest and promise to appear in front of National Producers again after improving by practicing hard!

He continued, “Firstly, I want to thank all of the trainers, writers, producers, camera directors, songwriters, and all of the staff. Also, I hope that one day all 101 trainees will be able to stand on stage together after racing towards our dreams. Hwaiting! I love you all. Please don’t forget the two syllables ‘Lee Hyeop’ and anticipate what’s to come. Thank you.”

Lee Jin Woo posted a handwritten letter via Maroo Entertainment’s official social media. In it, he stated, “Thank you so much for always thinking of me and cheering me on. Greeting National Producers through a letter like this makes me sad but also excited. While being on ‘Produce X 101,’ I was able to feel and learn a lot of things, and the most important was meeting National Producers.”

He continued, “On top of having a short training period and being unfamiliar with singing and dancing, my shyness made a lot of things difficult, but because National Producers gave me lots of support, I was able to make it to this point. I remember choking up after seeing National Producers crying during the ‘To My Youth’ stage, and I was really thankful to see people holding up signs to cheer me on.”

He concluded, “My race is just now beginning, and I have a lot of charms I still haven’t shown. I will work hard to become a more impressive Haenami Jin Woo and be with National Producers. Let’s meet again. I love you.”

Joo Chang Uk uploaded a handwritten letter on the Woollim Rookie official Twitter and stated, “I was really happy to receive lots of support and attention from National Producers while appearing on ‘Produce X 101.’ Because there were lots of things I heard and felt from the people I met through this program, I had an enjoyable time. It’s a shame that I won’t be able to meet National Producers frequently now, but the time I spent with all of you will become a precious memory that I will never forget.”

He added, “There were many things I struggled with because I am unfamiliar with being on television, but from now on I will practice even harder so that I can return with much improvement. Until I can stand confidently before you again, please don’t forget me. (It won’t be as long as you think. Really!) Also, please look forward to the day that my Woollim friends Cha Jun Ho, Hwang Yun Seong, Kim Dong Yun, Kim Min Seo, Moon Jun Ho, and I will arrive! (Spoiler warning!)”

Kim Dong Yun, who was brought back to the show through the X Revival, also posted a handwritten letter to the Woollim Rookie official Twitter. In it, he stated, “There were lots of things that happened while filming ‘Produce X 101,’ and I made lots of memories. It’s a shame that I won’t be able to see National Producers as often now, but my steps towards my dreams have definitely not stopped here. (From now on, I will run!) Moving forward, I will practice hard and work to fulfill my dreams, so please wait for me and cheer me on! Everyone says they think they’ll meet me again after a long time, but I will be back faster than you think, so please don’t worry and continue to support me! It’s a promise.”
