Kim Min Kyu And Lee Yul Eum In Talks Along With Jin Se Yeon For Upcoming Historical Fantasy Drama

Kim Min Kyu and Lee Yul Eum may be joining Jin Se Yeon in a new historical fantasy drama!

On July 31, Ilgan Sports reported that the two actors would be starring in TV Chosun’s upcoming drama “Queen: Love and War.” In response to this news, both actors’ agencies stated that they are reviewing the casting offers.

“Queen: Love and War” reportedly tells the story of the cutthroat competition around the selection of the new queen, who is the only person in the kingdom who can have power without relying on ministers or being a faithful servant. The story revolves around a woman who wants to become queen in order to find out the truth behind her twin sister’s murder, and the king of the Joseon dynasty who sees her face in his dreams. Jin Se Yeon was previously revealed to be in talks for the female lead role.

According to Ilgan Sports, Kim Min Kyu will play the intelligent and handsome King Yi Kyung. Growing up under his father, a king who was easily swayed by the conflict between the Kim Clan and Noron political faction, he dreams of becoming a king who puts his kingdom’s people above all else.

On the other hand, Lee Yul Eum was reportedly offered the role of Jo Young Ji, the daughter of the second state councilor Jo Heung Gyeon. Jo Young Ji is a bright yet emotional character whose clumsiness creates problems for her father. She has no interest in politics, and her only wish is to become someone’s beloved woman.
