Park Yoochun Announces Launch Of Official Fan Site
On April 16, Park Yoochun announced on Instagram that he was launching a new official fan site.
The Instagram post reads, “Park Yoochun’s official fan site, ‘BLUE CIELO,’ is scheduled to launch on April 20 at 6 p.m. KST. Please look forward to it with anticipation and love.”
A Star News reporter contacted Park Yoochun’s representatives to get a statement. The representative, after Park Yoochun’s name was mentioned, stated, “I’m too busy right now to think” and hung up on the call.
This announcement is part of an ongoing controversy over Park Yoochun’s future in the entertainment industry.
In April 2019, Park Yoochun held a press conference in which he denied allegations of him using illegal drugs. After a drug test came back positive, his agency, C-JeS Entertainment, terminated his contract and announced his retirement from the industry. In July, he was charged with purchasing 1.5 grams of Philopon and injecting the drug on several occasions. He was given a 10-month prison sentence suspended for two years of probation as well as a 1.4 million won (about $1,180) fine.
In March 2020, Park Yoochun opened new social media accounts, including the Instagram account mentioned above. In response to this, one of his representatives told the media that Park Yoochun currently had no plans to return to the entertainment industry. Later that month, Park Yoochun announced that he was releasing a photo book and holding an autograph event. His reps explained at the time that this did not indicate concrete plans for a return to the entertainment industry.
