Watch: Singers Band Together In New MV To Share Message Of Hope In Fight Against COVID-19

Singers have banded together to comfort people with a new project song.

On April 19, a remake of “Evergreen” by 24 teams of 34 singers was released. The video was released under the title “Singing ‘Evergreen’ again 2020, to the medical professionals around the world fighting COVID-19.”

The song was originally written by folk musician Kim Min Gi and first sung by Yang Hee Eun in 1979. The song has been much-loved throughout the years for its hopeful message of coming together and overcoming hardships.

The 2020 remake was released on April 19 to also mark the 60th anniversary of the April 19 Revolution, when a pro-democracy movement begun with protests by students.

A total of 34 singers participated in the project, including Kang San Ae, Kim Jo Han, Kim Feel, Na Yoon Kwon, LABOUM’s Solbin, Haein, Yujeong, Soyeon, and ZN, Red Velvet’s Joy, Muzie, Bada, Baek Ji Young, Brown Eyed Girls’ JeA, B1A4’s Sandeul, Bizzy, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung, Ali, Ailee, Oh My Girl’s YooA, Oh Yeon Jun, Yoon Do Hyun, EXID’s Solji, Lee Eun Mi, Tiger JK, TXT’s Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai, Ha Dong Kyun, and Hong Jin Young. Composer Kim Hyung Seok was the music director for the project.
