Watch: “Road To Kingdom” Contestants Are Shocked By The Surprises In 1st Episode Preview

Mnet’s “Road to Kingdom” has revealed a preview of its first episode!

Each competing team—PENTAGON, ONF, Golden Child, The Boyz, VERIVERY, ONEUS, and TOO—enters the studio showing their competitive spirit, saying things like, “The battle has begun,” and “We’ll show them what we’ve got.” The boy groups are surprised to see the other teams that make their entrance, and they appear nervous about the upcoming competition.

The show’s MC Jang Sung Kyu announces the 90-second performance mission as the first round of the competition. MC Lee Da Hee reveals that unlike in “Queendom,” a certain “something” will be done differently on “Road to Kingdom,” and the idols are in shock. The certain “something” is censored in the preview.

Moreover, when the team in last place is revealed, everyone is thrown into confusion. The preview ends with footage of VERIVERY’s Kangmin shedding tears backstage, raising curiosity about the results of the first competition.

The show’s production staff shared, “There was great tension on set from the first day of the recording, since it was the day everyone found out which teams are competing and had to give performances that would set their first impressions. Also, something no one had expected happened. Please watch the broadcast to see their first steps towards ‘Kingdom.'”
