SHINee's Key, VIXX's N, And 2AM's Jeong Jinwoon Discharged From Military Service Today

SHINee’s Key has shared photos, a written message, and an audio message for his fans on the group’s official website!

In the photos, Key does the military salute pose in front of banners congratulating him on his discharge.

Next to his autograph, Key wrote, “I’m back!!! As promised, I’ve returned in good health! Thank you for waiting. Look forward to various activities from me, and let’s make lots of memories from now on! Love you all.”

In the audio message shared on the website, Key said, “Hello everyone, this is SHINee’s Key. The day I thought would never come to me has finally come. I’ve been discharged in good health. Thank you so much for waiting. I’ll prepare lots of things to show you, so please anticipate it. I’d like to thank you once more, and I hope to see you all soon, smiling and happy. Bye!”

SHINee’s Key, VIXX’s N, and 2AM’s Jeong Jinwoon have all officially completed their mandatory military service.

According to the military’s COVID-19 protocol, all three soldiers were discharged without returning to their base after their final leave. The three soldiers all enlisted in March 2019 and joined the military band.

Key was the second member of SHINee to enlist after leader Onew, who was discharged earlier this year. Jeong Jinwoon was the last member of 2AM to enlist, while N was the first member of VIXX to enlist.

In an Instagram post, N wrote:

I’ve come back safely!! It was both a long and short time, depending on how you look at it, but it was a precious time in which I learned and felt a lot. Because of this, I will continue to cheer on my juniors who are still carrying out their duties in defending the nation and all the officers of the armed forces. I will become a Cha Hak Yeon who works even harder. Thank you and thank you for waiting for me and cheering me on! Salute! Sergeant Cha Hak Yeon has officially been discharged on October 7! Salute.
