7 Reasons To Be Totally Obsessed With TXT

Real MOAs can probably give you a million reasons to love TXT (Tomorrow X Together), Big Hit Entertainment’s second boy group that are quickly gaining international recognition. The five-member group debuted only a year and a half ago, but they’re rising to the top of the fourth generation of K-pop idols. If you haven’t hopped on the TXT train yet, here are just a few reasons why you should totally get on board. Next stop – stardom!

1. They’ve won the “Rookie Grand Slam”

Their win for “Rookie of the Year” at the 29th Seoul Music Awards in 2019 capped off a year of incredible achievements for TXT, who had only just debuted in March of the same year. Winning the award gave them the coveted status of “Rookie Grand Slam,” meaning they had won the rookie top spot at all five of the major end-of-year award shows. Monster rookies indeed!

2. They got their first music show win within 8 days of debut

In true TXT fashion, the rookie group earned their first music show win just eight days after their debut – taking first place with the title track from their first mini album “The Dream Chapter: STAR,” entitled “Crown.” The same track actually broke the record for highest number of views in the first 24 hours for a K-pop debut music video as well.

3. They’re all multitalented icons

All five members (that’s right – all five!) are well-trained in vocals, rap, and dance, meaning that you really never know what to expect when it comes to song lineups and live performances. Anyone could be the next main rapper, star vocalist, or lead dancer – and they tend to totally switch it up depending on the track. With TXT, you can expect the unexpected!

4. They’re like a little family

Beomgyu explained it best himself – leader Soobin is like the group’s mom while eldest member Yeonjun is like the group’s dad. Taehyun acts like an older brother while Beomgyu himself is like a younger brother. Youngest member Huening Kai’s adorable charms make him like the family’s puppy! All jokes aside, the members are very close with one another, and their family-like dynamic is very sweet to see.

5. They’re funny – like really, really funny

TXT is not afraid to commit to the bit, and their competitive nature and natural sense of humor never fails to make MOAs laugh. From Taehyun’s one-liners to Yeonjun’s so-bad-you-have-to-laugh dad jokes, there’s always something to laugh about with TXT. Plus, their variety show “TO DO” lets them show off their unexpected skills (or lack thereof) with tons of hilarious games and activities. TXT = hours of hilarious content!

6. They’ve got some really cool music videos

You’re probably thinking “no way – a 19-minute music video?!” but this one’s definitely worth watching all the way through. TXT is known for their music videos, some of which play more like short films with incredible sub-plots that somehow match perfectly with their songs. Plus, the time, effort, and talent put into each video is no joke. TXT should be winning acting awards in no time!

7. They can pull off just about anything

TXT’s concepts have varied a lot even in the short year-and-a-half since their debut, and they’ve rocked every single one. They’ve proven that they can pull off the cute, bubbly concept for “Blue Orangeade,” a cool magical concept with “9 and Three Quarters (Run Away),” a fierce concept for “PUMA,” and even a Western-style cowboy look for their most recent title track “Blue Hour.” No matter what your taste is, TXT has something you’ll love.
