Kim Jung Hyun And His Former Agency Release Joint Statement About Having Resolved Their Contract Issues

Actor Kim Jung Hyun and his former agency, O& Entertainment, have released a joint statement announcing that the two parties have resolved their contract issues.

The joint statement, which was released on May 14, stated, “We have signed an agreement confirming that O& Entertainment’s exclusive contract with actor Kim Jung Hyun expired on May 12, as the original contract stipulated.”

The statement continued, “Kim Jung Hyun’s brother, who was acting as his representative, and representatives from O& had a meeting and resolved the various misunderstandings that had arisen between the parties. Both parties agreed to understand each other without further conditions and to support the other on in their future activities.”

Until now, Kim Jung Hyun and O& Entertainment had been embroiled in conflict over whether his contract should include the 11-month hiatus he took after his departure from the drama “Time.” In 2018, Kim Jung Hyun was criticized for his behavior at the press conference for “Time,” and he later stepped down from the drama due to health reasons. In 2021, Dispatch reported that his behavior on “Time” had been influenced by Seo Ye Ji, his girlfriend at the time. Kim Jung Hyun recently released an apology about the situation but accused his former agency of spreading false information.
