Lee Sang Yi Confirmed To Join Kim Seon Ho, Shin Min Ah, And More In New Drama

Lee Sang Yi will be joining the cast of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha”!

On June 3, it was confirmed that the actor will be starring in the upcoming tvN drama, which is a remake of the film “Mr. Hong.”

The romance drama focuses on the stories of those living in the seashore village Gongjin. The show stars Shin Min Ah as logical dentist Yoon Hye Jin, a woman who appears to have it all but feels empty inside. After moving to Gongjin, she meets Hong Doo Shik, played by Kim Seon Ho, who is known as Mr. Hong around town. Although he’s technically unemployed, Mr. Hong is an expert at odd jobs, helping everyone in Gongjin.

Lee Sang Yi is set to play hit variety show director Ji Sung Hyun, a workaholic with a bright personality. In addition to Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho, he will be joining previously announced cast members Jo Han Chul, In Gyo Jin, Lee Bong Ryun, and Kang Hyung Suk.

Rising to fame in dramas such as “Special Labor Inspector Mr. Jo,” “When the Camellia Blooms,” and “Once Again,” Lee Sang Yi is currently starring in “Youth of May” and is also starring in the upcoming film “Single in Seoul.” In addition, he was chosen as a final member of the project group MSG Wannabe for “How Do You Play?,” Yoo Jae Suk‘s MBC variety show.

“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is scheduled to premiere in the second half of this year.
