SHINee’s Key brought his own “Juice” to “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook”!

On the October 8 episode of the popular KBS music talk show, Key made his first guest appearance in approximately three years.

While most guests on the show sing one of their own songs for their first performance, Key chose to kick off his appearance with a passionate rendition of Lizzo’s smash hit “Juice.”

After his performance, Key explained why he had chosen to cover the song, sharing, “[Lizzo] is an artist I really like.” He went on, “‘Juice’ represents one’s charm, and the lyrics are basically saying, ‘I can’t help it that I’m overflowing with charm.’ I really liked the song’s lyrics like ‘If I’m shining, everybody gonna shine.'”

Key added with a laugh, “But above all, the lyrics that stood out to me the most were ‘Mirror, mirror on the wall/Don’t say it ’cause I know I’m cute.”
