December Variety Show Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety shows!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, interaction, media coverage, community awareness, and viewership indexes of 50 popular variety programs, using big data collected from November 5 to December 5.

TV Chosun’s “Tomorrow’s National Singer” held onto its spot at the top of the list this month, enjoying a 48.14 percent rise in its brand reputation index since November. High-ranking phrases in the show’s keyword analysis included “rival battle,” “ratings,” and “semifinals,” while its highest-ranking related terms included “compete,” “confirm,” and “vote.” The program’s positivity-negativity analysis revealed a score of 75.42 percent positive reactions.

SBS’s “Running Man” climbed to second place in the rankings for December after seeing a 7.19 percent increase in its brand reputation index since last month.

Meanwhile, MBC’s “How Do You Play?” came in third with a modest 3.10 percent rise in its own score.
