LOONA's Final "Queendom 2" Song "POSE" Makes Top 5 Of Billboard's World Digital Song Sales Chart
LOONA’s new song for the final round of “Queendom 2” has made a strong debut on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart!
Last week, Mnet’s “Queendom 2” wrapped up its final round of competition, in which its six competing artists went head-to-head with brand-new songs. Each of the six artists released a new song on May 27 at 12 p.m. KST, and the groups later staged live performances of their new tracks during the “Queendom 2” finale.
Even though only Spotify streams on the official “Queendom 2” playlist counted towards artists’ scores for the final round, LOONA’s new song “POSE” still racked up an impressive amount of digital downloads in the United States. For the week ending on June 11, “POSE” debuted at No. 5 on the chart.
The song’s chart performance is all the more impressive considering that it was not part of a comeback and was not accompanied by any promotions, such as a music video release.
Earlier this year, LOONA also became the first artist to top Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart with a song from Mnet’s “Queendom” and “Kingdom” series, when their cover of SISTAR’s “Shake It” debuted at No. 1 on the chart in April. All of the group’s other “Queendom 2” releases managed to enter the chart as well, giving them a perfect six-song streak over the course of the show.
Congratulations to LOONA!
