BTS, SEVENTEEN, And TXT Earn Circle Chart (Gaon) Million Certifications; GOT7, NCT DREAM, Stray Kids, ASTRO, LE SSERAFIM, And More Go Platinum
Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.
TXT’s latest mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” and Lim Young Woong’s first full-length album “IM HERO” also both received official million certifications after selling over a million copies each since their respective releases in May.
Finally, ASTRO’s latest album “Drive to the Starry Road,” Stray Kids’ 2019 special album “Clé 2 : Yellow Wood,” and LE SSERAFIM’s debut mini album “FEARLESS” were all certified platinum after selling over 250,000 copies each.
In the streaming category, Oh My Girl’s 2021 title track “Dun Dun Dance” was certified platinum, along with GyeongseoYeji and Jeon Gunho’s hit duet “If you lovingly call my name,” after both songs surpassed 100 million streams each.
Meanwhile, Paul Kim’s “So Long” (from the OST of the hit tvN drama “Hotel Del Luna“) and Lim Jae Hyun’s “If There Was Practice in Love” both went double platinum after reaching 200 million streams each.
Finally, pH-1, Kid Milli, and Loopy’s “Good Day” (featuring Paloalto and produced by Code Kunst) was certified platinum in the download category after surpassing 2.5 million downloads.
Congratulations to all of the artists on their impressive achievements!
