SEVENTEEN, BTS, ITZY, TXT, aespa, TWICE's Nayeon, Stray Kids, And BLACKPINK Rank High On Billboard's World Albums Chart

Billboard has released its World Albums chart for the week ending on August 6!

SEVENTEEN topped this week’s chart with “SECTOR 17,” the new repackaged version of their latest studio album “Face The Sun.” Notably, not only did “SECTOR 17” debut at No. 1, but “Face The Sun” also charted separately at No. 8.

Outside of the World Albums chart, “SECTOR 17” also debuted at No. 1 on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart this week—on top of becoming SEVENTEEN’s first album ever to enter the top 4 of the Billboard 200. Additionally, SEVENTEEN achieved their highest ranking to date on Billboard’s Artist 100 this week, rising to a new peak of No. 4.

BTS’s anthology album “Proof” climbed back up to No. 3 in its seventh consecutive week on the World Albums chart, while their 2017 mini album “Love Yourself: Her” re-entered the chart at No. 14. BTS’s J-Hope‘s new solo album “Jack In The Box” also came in at No. 9 in its second week on the chart.

ITZY’s latest mini album “CHECKMATE” stayed strong at No. 4 in its second consecutive week on the World Albums chart, in addition to spending a second week in the top half of the Billboard 200.

TXT’s “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” climbed back up to No. 5 in its 12th consecutive week on the World Albums chart, and it also became the first K-pop album of 2022 to spend 11 weeks on the Billboard 200.

Meanwhile, aespa’s “Girls” held relatively steady in its third week on the World Albums chart. The mini album also spent its third consecutive week on the Billboard 200, making aespa only the third K-pop girl group in history to have an album chart for three weeks.

TWICE’s Nayeon‘s solo debut mini album “IM NAYEON” held onto its spot at No. 7 in its fifth week on the World Albums chart. Additionally, Nayeon made history on both the Billboard 200 and the Artist 100 this week as the first K-pop soloist ever to spend five weeks on either chart.

Finally, Stray Kids’ “ODDINARY” came in at No. 12 in its 18th non-consecutive week on the World Albums chart, while BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” rounded out the top 15 in its 95th consecutive week on the chart.

Congratulations to all of the artists!
